Watch Service Details

I offer repair and servicing of many timepieces including vintage and modern manual/automatic movements, manual/automatic chronographs, and quartz watches.
Each watch repair job is unique and different watches require different repair approaches and techniques to ensure proper functionality and maintaining originality. I am aware of the stress when handing over a cherished watch for service therefore it is important we have a conversation to review your specific repair expectations.
The simplest description of a "service" includes fully disassembling the watch, cleaning, adjusting, lubricating, and timing. The reality is that there are many more steps and procedures to ensure the watch returned is mechanically sound, running as well as possible, and cleaned/sealed for years of wear...
Estimating jobs is difficult especially as most clients mail-in work to be completed. I charge a base labor rate and all parts, as needed, will be line-items in addition to the service cost. Commonly replaced parts include mainsprings, crystals, staffs, and case tubes. Each watch will be evaluated closely as disassembly and cleaning occurs. I will communicate any required replacement parts, especially those which may be unexpected due to damage or condition.
As a guide, below is my base service labor cost (as of January 1, 2026) for most watches. Some watches may require specific evaluation and estimates particularly in the case of water damage or extreme wear.
Manual Wind Mechanical - $375
Automatic Wind Mechanical- $400
Automatic ETA7750 Chronograph - $450
Manual Wind Chronograph - $500
Automatic Chronograph (module) - $550
Automatic Chronograph (vintage) - $600
Quartz Service - $150
Note: Damaged/replacement part costs are *highly* variable depending on caliber, rarity, and manufacturer.

Polishing is done BY REQUEST ONLY. As a vintage watch collector, I view case polishing as an exception and NOT a rule. While some worn watch cases such as Rolex and Tudor take a polish very well, most vintage cases, in my opinion, are best left original in their "well loved" condition.
Case and bracelet cleaning, however, are required for proper watch care. After a full disassembly, high pressure steam and ultrasonic cleaning are used to blast away grit, grime, and dead skin leaving your watch fresh and clean for your continued wear.
Final watch testing prior to completion of service is achieved with the following industry standard Swiss precision instruments:
Timing and Regulation - Witschi Watch Expert 4
Pressure Testing (up to 10bar) - Witschi Proofmaster
Quartz Testing - Witschi New Tech Handy II
Demagnetization - Elma Antimag
Automatic Testing - Cyclostock 36
All full watch services include a 1 year warranty on work completed. Please use the contact form or reach out via email or IG to start a conversation.
